Assistant Professor of Graphic Design

The Lamar Dodd School of Art at the University of Georgia invites applicants for a position at the Assistant Professor rank with a focus in graphic design/visual communication design. The anticipated start date is August 2021. The successful candidate will contribute to shaping the future of the program, placing value on design fundamentals while embracing innovative and diverse technologies, ideologies, and methodologies in creative practice and teaching. The faculty member will pursue an active program of research and/or creative practice, teach a 2/2 load of courses, collaborate with design area faculty in curricular and program development, and contribute to service to the School, University, community, and the design profession. Faculty members are expected to support the college’s goals of creating and sustaining a diverse and inclusive learning environment through their scholarship, teaching, mentoring, and professional service.
