Do you find yourself wishing to return to a time that never was?
Somewhere between the romantic nostalgia for our past and the brutal realities of history lies our lake of misplaced yearning.
It is in this same place that lessons on humanity, its nature and the fruit it bears (or destroys) can be found. It's the place where beauty and ugliness coexist in a perverse harmony. It's a place that only art can explore and reflect on.

Manifest Destiny Art, in the heart of Barcelona’s Art and Design District, is a stunning post-industrial destination for art and innovation.

We are now seeking submissions of moving image artworks for ‘NOSTALGIA’ a 6 Foot (2 m) digital installation that is a part of a larger exhibition, THE NOSTY, that will take place in Barcelona in May. The exhibition will be on view May 4th, 2019 during Barcelona’s Poblenou Open Day.

Submissions may include traditional short films, animations, videos and animations that employ the use of digital technologies including 3D scanning and modeling, motion capture, custom software, motion graphics, experimental image processing, as well as conventional video editing. There are no restrictions on content, style, or context, but your entries should fit the theme, 'Nostalgia'. in some way.

Submissions under seven minutes are given priority however works of any length will be considered with the option to show an excerpt for the exhibition. Submissions may include either Vimeo URL(s) with download enabled or links to file sharing downloads (i.e. WeTransfer, Dropbox, Google Drive, etc.). Please include any necessary passwords to view/download videos with your submission links.
