The Mapils Gallery is pleased to present the exhibition The Beautiful Minds by Domenico Barra (Naples, 1982) which opens on March 15, 2019 at 7:00 pm in Naples, curated by Maria Pia De Chiara. The first Neapolitan personal of the new media artist will be open to the public until the 10th of May 2019 and tells the story of the autistic twin cousins of the artist, where the glitch, commonly called machine error, becomes an artistic metaphor for autism.
The aim of the exhibition is also an invitation to reflection on the theme of autism, and give voice to the “different present” who are constantly looking for their own dimension in contemporary society that unfortunately is not ready to create opportunities for these people to enhance the their skills, a society that disable them instead than enabling.
