The rule of no realm is mine,… great or small. But all worthy things that are in peril as the world now stands, those are my care. And for my part, I shall not wholly fail of my task,… if anything passes through this night that can still grow fair or bear fruit and flower again in days to come. For I also am a steward. I met a girl who sang the blues
And I asked her for some happy news,
But she just smiled and turned away.
I went down to the sacred store
Where I'd heard the music years before.
But the man there said the music wouldn't play.
And in the streets the children screamed,
The lovers cried, and the poets dreamed.
But not a word was spoken.
The church bells all were broken.
And the three men I admire most –
The father, son, and the holy ghost –
They caught the last train for the coast,
The day the music died.

Summer was gone and the heat died down
and autumn reached for her golden crown.
I looked behind as I heard a sigh
but this was the time of no reply.
The sun went down and the crowd went home,
I was left by the roadside all alone.
I turned to speak as they went by
but this was the time of no reply.
The trees on the hill had nothing to say,
they would keep their dreams till another day.
So they stood and thought and wondered why
for this was the time of no reply.
Time goes by from year to year
and no one asks why I'm standing here.
But I have my answer as I look to the sky:
this is the time of no reply.

And in the naked light I saw
Ten thousand people maybe more
People talking without speaking
People hearing without listening
People writing songs that voices never share
And no one dare disturb the sound of silence
"Fools" said I, "You do not know
Silence like a cancer grows
Hear my words that I might teach you
Take my arms that I might reach you"
But my words like silent raindrops fell
And echoed in the wells of silence

Their idols are silver and gold,
made by the hands of men.
They have mouths, but cannot speak,
eyes, but they cannot see;
they have ears, but cannot hear,
noses, but they cannot smell;
they have hands, but cannot feel,
feet, but they cannot walk;
nor can they utter a sound with their throats.
Those who make them will be like them,
and so will all who trust in them.

GLORY be to God for dappled things –
  For skies of couple-colour as a brinded cow;
    For rose-moles all in stipple upon trout that swim;
Fresh-firecoal chestnut-falls; finches' wings;
  Landscape plotted and pieced – fold, fallow, and plough;
And all trades, their gear and tackle and trim.

All things counter, original, spare, strange;
Whatever is fickle, freckled (who knows how?)
    With swift, slow; sweet, sour; adazzle, dim;
He fathers-forth whose beauty is past change:
                  Praise him.

Zhivago once fled with his lover to the interminable snow plains across the barren landscape of revolutionary Russia. Reaching a place that most resembled the center of nowhere, they stopped. The Bolshevik police followed on their heels, moving at a different speed, chasing a desire that escaped their comprehension. They knocked at the door, asking, what is your agenda, what are you plotting against us, what do you plan to do here? Live, he answered, just live. If understood slowly, this is not the fatality of hopelessness or a sign of passive acquiescence in the face of an obscene demand. And if it is an insurrection, it is not the insurrection proclaimed loudly on the center stage of capital cities whose success is measured by how many times the police beats it to the ground. Knowing when to disappear, it does not ask to be represented. Although there are many who live it today, outside the speed of the media spectacle, their names would only be invoked in vain, as the idols of yet another manifesto thrown on the rubble-heap of history.

Dialectics never died. It lives every time another tired exhibit of the relics of dada or situationism opens at the houses of culture across the world. It lives when the hackers who haunt the net repeat the slogans and gestures of the dead and then congratulate themselves when they are finally inducted into the halls of power of the Venice Biennale or Ars Electronica. It lives when the theorists and cartographers of new deterritorialized flows of desire sell their interests by entering a classroom to become functionaries of the empire of production, offering packaged knowledge to students who eagerly produce whatever stupidity is asked of them in exchange for the general equivalent of a grade. It lives when the anti-globalization ‘multitude’ faithfully ascend to the stage of negation to recite their memorized roles, proudly displaying the garments of an ideology that long ago betrayed its exhaustion.  Dialectics consumes the desire of life as it beats its wings against the limits of the impossible. As Tzara once said, dialectics kills - it lives by producing corpses, which lie strewn across an empty field where the wind has ceased to blow.  The field only reveals its own folly and despair; and victory is the illusion of philosophers and fools.

I am on a lonely road and I am traveling
Traveling, traveling, traveling
Looking for something, what can it be
Oh I hate you some, I hate you some
I love you some
Oh I love you when I forget about me
I want to be strong I want to laugh along
I want to belong to the living
Alive, alive, I want to get up and jive
I want to wreck my stockings in some juke box dive
Do you want - do you want - do you want
To dance with me baby
Do you want to take a chance
On maybe finding some sweet romance with me baby
Well, come on

All I really really want our love to do
Is to bring out the best in me and in you too
All I really really want our love to do
Is to bring out the best in me and in you
I want to talk to you, I want to shampoo you
I want to renew you again and again
Applause, applause - life is our cause
When I think of your kisses
My mind see-saws
Do you see - do you see - do you see
How you hurt me baby
So I hurt you too
Then we both get so blue

I am on a lonely road and I am traveling
Looking for the key to set me free
Oh the jealousy, the greed is the unraveling
It's the unraveling
And it undoes all the joy that could be
I want to have fun, I want to shine like the sun
I want to be the one that you want to see
I want to knit you a sweater
Want to write you a love letter
I want to make you feel better
I want to make you feel free
Hmm, Hmm, Hmm, Hmm,
Want to make you feel free
I want to make you feel free

you did not have a home
there were places you visited frequently
you took off your shoes and scratched your feet
'cause you knew that the whole world belongs to the meek
but you did not have a home
no, you did not have a home

and you did not take a wife
there were pretty maids all in a row
who lined up to touch the hem of your robe
but you had no place to take them, so
you did not take a wife
no, you did not take a wife

birds have nests, foxes have dens
but the hope of the whole world rests
on the shoulders of a homeless man
you had the shoulders of a homeless man
no, you did not have a home

well you had no stones to throw
you came without an ax to grind
you did not tow the party line
no wonder sight came to the blind
you had no stones to throw
you had no stones to throw

and you rode and ass' foal
they spread their coats and cut down palms
For you and your donkey to walk upon
but the world won't find what it thinks it wants
on the back of an ass' foal
so i guess you had to get sold
'cause the world can't stand what it can't own
and it can't own you 'cause you did not have a home

birds have nests, foxes have dens
but the hope of the whole world rests
on the shoulders of a homeless man
you had the shoulders of a homeless man
and the world can't stand what it can't own
and it can't own you
'cause you did not have a home

I build this garden for us, I build this garden for us
I build this garden for us, I build this garden for us

In this garden
This lovely garden
I build a temple of love
Walk with the Father
Won't be a bother
To touch the Earth as it was
We'll farm the land each day
And in the sunshine we will play
Glory glory for the day He came
Our tears had gone away
We'll make love in the shade
And in the ocean we will bathe
Little fishies in the sea
Say hooray

I build this garden for us, I build this garden for us
I build this garden for us, I build this garden for us

In this garden
Our children will grow
Darling this is a must
We'll be so happy
Our little family
So full of love and trust
And darling when we're old
We'll close the gates and lock the door
Our love will never fade away
When it's pure it forever last
And darling when you're cold
I'll hold you tight and keep you warm
Little darlin' gonna make it through the storm
You'll never be alone

I build this garden for us, I build this garden for us
I build this garden for us, I build this garden for us

In this garden
There'll be no war
No racial prejudice
You'll be my brother
Of any color
You'll just be okay with us
We'll live each day in peace
In hope that we will one day reach
The rest of the world
When they are ready to be teached
The kingdom will come
Thy will will be done
On Earth as it is in heaven
I build this garden
I build this garden for us
Yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah

I build this garden for us, I build this garden for us
I build this garden for us, I build this garden for us

Oh yes you are
But mentally dying

O boy
Just like a boat you are
Sunk but somehow you float you do
Mentally weak
Oh yes you are
But so much you speak

"The conceptual artist, to his credit, is rarely less than well read and culturally informed. He is, therefore, painfully aware of what has already been done and by whom. He’s also aware of how interpretations can change with mainstream assimilation and the benefit of hindsight. Consequently, the artist is wary of being earnest or bold, or of showing overt sentiment -just in case such unambiguous commitment should seem naïve or cheesily melodramatic at some point in the future. He is, at best, 'playful'."

"In his book _Art & Discontent: Theory at the Millenium_, the art critic Thomas McEvilley develops the notion of the periodic recurrence of the postmodern, or rather the theory that modernist and postmodernist tendencies have actually been following one upon the other throughout history… I suppose in thinking of the Museum of Jurassic Technology, we might similarly speak of the periodic recurrence of the *pre*modern."

- Lawrence Weschler, 1995

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

"The philosopher Michael Foucault describes how in the Middle Ages, the world was experienced in a completely different way. Things that we now view as being unrelated were, at that time, considered to be intimately connected.

For one thing, people believed that words and objects really corresponded to each other – that there was something inherently 'lionny' about the word 'lion' and that a plant that looked like a brain (a cabbage for instance) could be used as a medicine that was good for your brain. The object of medieval science was to identify all these connections, and incorporate them into a grand scheme of creation. God was considered to be the Great Thinker in the background who had conceived the world in this coherent way.

It was only in the Renaissance that people began hesitantly, haltingly, to split things up. In the Age of Enlightenment reason and analysis reigned supreme. The world was cleanly laid out in different categories and subdivisions, clearly discernable from one another.

Designers tend to think in terms of finding or making connections. they are inclined to use association and analogies to create new possibilities for solutions.

Designers are basically medieval in the way they think."

You must experiment with all kinds of gear before claiming your own patch of dirt. Here are a few ideas to kick around.

For a cool shred setup:
* Use extra-light strings (.009-.042) to facilitate legato fretting ad tapping techniques, and to reduce string resistance when sweeping and consecutive picking.
* Use a high-gain preamp to generate compression and tons of sustain.
* Play through low-gain pickups to maintain note articulation.
* If your amp offers them, select pentode, full power, and high-dampened options. These settings will further enhance articulation.
* Choose high-power speakers for their fast response time and increased fidelity. Over-rate them, relative to amp output. For example, try driving four 50- or 75-watt 12s with a 100-watt head.
* Play through a closed-back cabinet.
* Rule of thumb: Keep your transducers (pickups and speakers) clean; get your mondo grunge in the middle of the chain.

Conversely, for a singing blues tone:
* Run a low-watt, non-master volume tube amp wide open – or darned close to it.
* Use heavier strings and relatively hot pick-ups to kick the amp's input into overdrive.
* On large, modern amps, select half-power, triode, and low-damped settings; these options invite a loose, open tone.
* control distortion from your guitar's volume knob and with picking dynamics.
* Choose low-wattage speakers that your amp can distort. Of course, you risk blowing a few voice coils for that golden tone.
* Use an open-backed cabinet.
* Rule of thumb: Keep the front end of the chain (pickups, effects, and preamp) reasonably clean; push the tail end (power tubes, transformer, and speakers) hard.

"An imbecile habit has arisen in modern controversy of saying that such and such a creed can be held in one age but cannot be held in another. Some dogma, we are told, was credible in the twelfth century, but is not credible in the twentieth. You might as well say that a certain philosophy can be believed on Mondays, but cannot be believed on Tuesdays. You might as well say of a view of the cosmos that it was suitable to half-past three, but not suitable to half-past four. What a man can believe depends upon his philosophy, not upon the clock or the century. If a man believes in unalterable natural law, he cannot believe in any miracle in any age. If a man believes in a will behind law, he can believe in any miracle in any age… It is simply a matter of a man's theory of things. Therefore in dealing with any historical answer, the point is not whether it was given in our time, but whether it was given in answer to our question."

Most of the machinery of modern language is labour-saving machinery; and it saves mental labour very much more than it ought. Scientific phrases are used like scientific wheels and piston-rods to make swifter and smoother yet the path of the comfortable. Long words go rattling by us like long railway trains. We know they are carrying thousands who are too tired or too indolent to walk and think for themselves. It is a good exercise to try for once in a way to express any opinion one holds in words of one syllable. If you say "The social utility of the indeterminate sentence is recognized by all criminologists as a part of our sociological evolution towards a more humane and scientific view of punishment," you can go on talking like that for hours with hardly a movement of the gray matter inside your skull. But if you begin "I wish Jones to go to gaol and Brown to say when Jones shall come out," you will discover, with a thrill of horror, that you are obliged to think. The long words are not the hard words, it is the short words that are hard. There is much more metaphysical subtlety in the word "damn" than in the word "degeneration."

I heard from the trees a great parade.
And I heard from the hills a band was made.
Will I be invited to the sound?
Will I be a part of what You've made?
And I am throwing all my thoughts away.
And I'm destroying every bet I've made.
And I am joining all my thoughts to You.
And I'm preparing every part for You.

This site is primarily for children and adults who like art. This is evident because there is no textual information, but very vivid graphics and animations. These graphics are used to provoke thought and creativity. It is not very straightforward, and only those who enjoy art and discovering things will enjoy this site because there are no obvious links or information. The audience’s attention is caught from the beginning, with the various colors drawing the eye to the things the author wants the reader to see. The graphics and animations remind me of the pictures that psychologists show to their patients in order to get a deeper meaning and understanding of the patient. The vibrancy and movements make the reader feel as if they are in another dimension. The use of contrasting colors here helps in this feeling. The purpose of this site is to promote constructive and destructive images through the various graphic links in order to create a new image.

This was the strangest website I have ever looked at. I don't know what the message or purpose of this site was. Im assuming that the intended audience is people who are into using computer graphics as an artistic form of expression. This site is a random collaboration of graphics, quotes, poetry and pictures that do not relate to each other in an obvious way but may have a hidden corelation. One of the graphics was the metapicture that we looked at in class that said "this is not a pipe." However on this site the picture was the same but the caption said "this is not a website." Eventhough this site is weird and confusing, you can tell that whoever made it is a professional because the graphics and visuals are amazing. Its hard to tell where the links are in the images but this adds to the complexity of the site. This website is definetly worth looking at and showing your friends.

"because you do not belong to the hard core, if you do not live hard core." A quotation of the figure Dewey Finn, a liking gladly skirt star in the film The School OF skirt (2003), which the money because of a teacher post obtains by devious means itself to be in order to then transform its class into skirt volume, seems somehow the model, which pretext or the preliminary warning for which which follows there.

Sense in the woman?
The sense of the page http://playdamage.org to fathom, would be difficult, over not to say waste of time. Or perhaps one must belong to the hard core. However and nevertheless: one comes from a flashlight thunderstorm into the oasis of the self meditation and then into otherwise any hell of the human senses. One understands not and is nevertheless somehow fascinated. Picture and sound chips form, lined up at a bead cord, which applies to find it first, an unfathomable Collage, which does not seem to end. And there also a woman emerges sometime.

One knows by where one returns and, at one time one leaves it is promised one went until the end for you. As you noticed there is a certain taste for the sites which one does not include/understand well immediately. This taste is shared by others (one tries to reassure oneself) since one found this reference to the address 2balles.cc , a site which one do not include/understand well immediately either but it is of no importance. What is significant it is to know that that exists and that one can be delighted some quite simply, that the good taste (gloups!) is with range of clic and that that does not take too much time, it is easy and so good. You do not include/understand? us either or then if, all is included/understood but not immediately, one lets oneself make and one navigate, one ends up navigate in the joy and happiness, my word it is true. In more one does not need really the plugin flash (5) to see this site, it is enough to cliquer on NOT each time that us are tested to it fourguer and, miracle, it walks nevertheless, it is beautiful the life, one still convinces oneself some.

Sense image of the thing which comes to draw on the mind which is an image (image). Image (image) this it does.

Conversation is the photograph and motion picture, ni the May syen is the time image reflects an actuality. But the author where the actuality of that image is took off and " it put out, (take A picture)" in actuality public opinion part does not pass to be sound the fact is that is not a possibility of doing from point. When we the picture it draws it takes the photograph, it is an act whose with this it is same rightly in order in order from the location which is specific to want to get the picture to catch a composition. With the image of this together image the author who comes in the inside the angle of the camera wants is specific inside forming a cabinet e gets the one part of the actuality which the square frame Anui image which it puts out is to inside one image to contain the intention of the person whom already it takes, it becomes. Does the photograph of demonstrative site the journalist from which location with the photograph take the part of actuality, does take in what kind of method to follow, against an actuality to be given meaning which is different with each other and.

Also the elements of the multi mind image which is connected compose the frame and to take off by the relationship of the picture which they put out meaning is produced. Wild image by the image which is related in the after which is produced wup to it re-produces meaning newly and it puts out also it makes the different image and it is put out and system deposit relationship in the place element wild gap (paradigmatic relation) by meaning re-is produced and and and.

From actuality it has the image and the message of the different author it edits the relationship of the image which comes but with with fact of origin of actuality it contains there to be a possibility of making the image which is produced, it becomes. Talk of the image due to the connection of the image which forms a cabinet consequently (narrative) it collects the elements of actuality and to become the medium which delivers one talk and. The talk which becomes known socially well it leads and it takes off it edits approximately an inside e hour there is and that part and and a possibility of putting in the message which is powerful had become the axis medicine.

This work leads and only the minimum image as connection Sikkim metaphor and metonymy has become the axis medicine message and like the sign, the meaning heart it makes.

These images the flag which puts in the contents which is specific more is giving the shock of abstraction time. The sentimental condition which social actuality and the author is complicated piece berry connection of the abstraction image it leads and it is expressing. The gorgeous one image, extreme repeat arrangement, and this field of abstraction icon and the figure and the letter back it moves with music it forms a message together. Under tu lak with the foot lard lak, this height it will be burnt cheap, lik with one tech scull music back together this work which is developed the relationship of sound and the image in the center is the spectator what it is a for a while self to thought does from gorgeous one image inside.

It will grow the portion which is specific from gorgeous one image inside lik it is done and when, this work moves with the next page. The spectator lets suck again at the room of the new image and it enters and and.
