My Life in Three Parts

For the past year or so, I have been using HTML5 instead of Flash to create electronic literature. This has presented challenges, the foremost being that I have had to use new approaches toward story-telling to compensate for the loss of the wonderful interactivity Flash afforded. The result has been a paring down of narrative elements to their basic components using archetypal text, images, and video. This new piece, "My Life in Three Parts," exemplifies that approach. It was interesting and liberating to write this one–at times, I felt like I was discovering a new language.
