West of Center presents work by a diverse range of artists based in the American West from the 1960s and 1970s who broke the barriers between art and lifestyle and embraced the new, hybrid sensibilities of the countercultural movement.

Featuring projects by Ant Farm, the Cocketters & Angels of Light, Emory Douglas, Drop City, Anna Halprin, Single Wing Turquoise Bird, and the Womyn’s Lands of Southern Oregon.

Join the exhibiting artists for the opening reception of West of Center and Cockette Chaos! A Total Extravaganza, a special performance and fashion show produced by Cockettes Fayette Hauser and Rumi Missabu. Refreshments provided.
West of Center: Art and the Counterculture Experiment in America, 1965-1977, is on view from June 12- September 1, 2013.

Museum hours: Tuesday-Sunday , 11 am to 4pm
and Wednesdays, 11am-7:30pm. The museum is closed on Mondays.
Admission is FREE and open to the public.
