Good afternoon Rhizome,
I have opening tonight at Lump Gallery in Raleigh, North Carolina, USA.
The show exists both online as website works and physically in the space as objects.  At 7pm Eastern Standard Time the website:
http://ThankYouForVisitingTheInter.net
will have a live feed of the gallery updated every 45 seconds.  At the website you can click on the objects in the show which will lead you to the website portion of the works.
Info:
Lump is pleased to present ThankYouForVisitingTheInter.net, new work by David Colagiovanni.  Lump will host an opening reception on Friday, April 1st from 7 – 10pm during the First Friday Gallery Walk in downtown Raleigh.  The exhibition will run from April 1 – 30 and is on view Saturdays from noon - 5pm and by appointment during the week.

Lump presents ThankYouForVisitingTheInter.net a solo exhibition by David Colagiovanni exploring the political and material qualities of the World Wide Web.

ThankYouForVisitingTheInter.net will exist both online and physically in the gallery with objects that reference and complete meaning from both their online and physical presence.  Through a series of self referring feedback loops, the objects in the show are transposed from one space to another and call attention to the in-between or non-space and the political and material gated communities that exist within the spaces of contemporary life.

www.ThankYouforVisitingTheInter.net will be live 'online' accessible by visiting with your web browser and available for viewing in the gallery from April 1st - April 30th, 2011.

David Colagiovanni lives and makes work in Carrboro, NC and Athens, OH.  Colagiovanni is an artist in residence at the Morehead Planetarium in Chapel Hill.  His artistic practice includes large-scale and site-specific video projection, net art, sculpture, and the creation of music through the remixing of captured video.  His recent work has included full 360-degree video projection onto planetarium domes in the US, UK and Portugal, websites included in the 10-year survey of Net Art by the Java Museum as well as screenings in Romania and New Mexico of his video-music.  He is an active member of Team Lump.
