The New York Photo Awards

Established in 2008, The New York Photo Awards has attracted exceptional work submitted from over 25,000 photographers and visual artists—over 150,000 images uploaded and reviewed by the top names in the genres of photo Fine Art, Documentary, Advertising, Book publishing, and Multimedia industries in the U.S. and abroad.

The esteemed pool of select jurors for the 2013 edition of The New York Photo Awards, hands down, across the board, represent the upper echelons of the photo industry and art world and selected what’s next in Fine Art, Documentary, and Publishing.

There are two rounds of The New York Photo Awards:

Round One:
Submit before 11:59 PM (PST) on September 12, 2013.

You must submit before the round one deadline to be considered for round one (and round two) prizes. After round one judging is completed, top vote-getters in each category (Fine Art, Documentary, and Photobook, both general and student subsets) will be invited to exhibit at The POWERHOUSE Arena during Brooklyn’s largest annual art event, the DUMBO Arts Festival, September 27-29. Exhibition prints will be generously printed by NYPHA and our print sponsor, AdoramaPix.

Round Two:
The second round of judging will be completed after the final deadline: October 25, 2013. Those submitting after September 13, 2013 will be considered for round two/final recognition and prizes only. The top vote getters in each category after this final deadline will be the winners of the 2013 edition of The New York Photo Awards and invited for an exhibition at The POWERHOUSE Arena in the late fall. Exhibition prints will be generously printed by NYPHA and our print sponsor, AdoramaPix.

Final winners will also be featured in the the Volume 2 issue of NYPH Journal, published by powerHouse Books in addition to other prizes and recognition.
