window - re/production | re/presentation - Project Launch

Conceived of as a site-specific gallery, window aims to promote dialogue and exchange around issues of representation and reproduction in contemporary art. The site consists of a storefront window in a local reprographic business that will serve as a quasi-gallery for monthly public art installations. In the hopes of extending the discourse beyond its geographic location, window will host a blog with written content related to exhibited works and/or general essays that respond to the overall mission of the project. We invite participation in the form of written content and are also soliciting recommendations of artists for future exhibitions.
