Assistant or Associate Professor in Integrated Digital Media - Tenure Track

The Department of Communication Arts at Marymount Manhattan College seeks an experienced scholar-practitioner for a tenure-track position in Integrated Digital Media Arts beginning in September 2013. The rank at time of appointment will be based on previous academic and/or professional experience.

Description: Teaching responsibilities will include courses in web design at the intermediate and introductory levels; an elementary digital media, video and sound editing course; a survey course in new media; and advanced courses related to their practice. The successful candidate will be an active, practicing integrated digital media artist and scholar with a record of intellectually and culturally rigorous work in areas of expertise that cross media forms. The candidate will couple digital media practice with a practice in video production and/or sound art. We encourage applicants experienced in transmedia; gaming for the humanities; video, mobile applications; and related areas.

Requirements: Required: An MFA in Digital Media Arts, Transmedia, Integrated Digital Media, Integrated Electronic Arts or a related field by the time of appointment, a demonstrated record of teaching excellence, a commitment to service, a strong creative agenda.
