GO ELSEWHERE 2013 | residencies, internships, fellowships, retreats

Elsewhere, a living museum set in a former thrift store in downtown Greensboro, NC, is now accepting applications for 2013 residencies. Visiting artists, musicians, curators, scholars, makers, storytellers, and educators utilize the museum’s immense 58-year collection of second-hand surplus for site-specific projects that interpret and contribute to Elsewhere’s concepts, collections, and communities.

Elsewhere’s three-story museum offers an evolving environment of living installations, public studios, and materials that provides an experimental context for investigating material culture, re-thinking process and practice, and developing new collaborative approaches. Elsewhere is an active participant in the vitalization of its emerging downtown neighborhood, and an exceptional place for rethinking things in everyday and extraordinary culture.

Individuals and collaborative teams working across media, fields, and disciplines are encouraged to apply. Residencies 2-6 weeks. Creative retreats, assistantships, and curatorial fellowships also available. Goelsewhere.org/residencies for more information.
