Qualifications and Goals:
Learn the fundamentals of successful grant writing.

What are the competencies we really need in reaching that success? Some may say that is all about the credibility of the artists you are working with, some may argue it is all about how accurate your description of the project is, others may say that nothing is more important than having sound impact in the community or society at large.

This course suggests that a coherent mix of all of these, plus good writing skills, will do the best!

Therefore, upon completing this course, we aim for you to have enhanced competencies in:

1. Recognizing the credibility factors (artist’s bio, collective artists’ CV, gallery’s CV, curator’s CV, referrals’ credibility).

2. Coherent and complex description of the art project (synopsis, theme, approach, medium and technique, relevance, process, production, outcomes, expected impact).

3. Working with a project’s budget.

4. Managing a simple, clear and concise writing style.
