INVITATION/ANNOUNCEMENT FOR THE OPENING OF
THE UBERGROUND SALON IN ROTTERDAM

dear sir/madam,

we are very happy to invite you for the opening
of the first cultural uberground salon in
rotterdam.

uberground is a new media art space and transcultural
playground in rotterdam, open for the public
on a regular base for shows and salon events.

time: 18.30, saturday, 24 may 2003
place: UBERGROUND, gedempte zalmhaven 923, rotterdam
downtown rotterdam, near by the erasmus bridge, north side.

Mr. Doron Golan, art collector and artist
from new york city, usa.

Doron Golan-Goldstein was born in Haifa, Israel,
and has been living and working in New York since
1979.
Doron has worked in dv, computer animation and
media. Since 1998 he has been working primarily
with quicktime streaming.
Doron's works is concerned with cinematic and
digifi art presentation and engaged in
reproductions of contemporary social phenomenas.
Studied fine arts and comparative literature in
Haifa University, Israel, and fine arts at The
Free Academy of Den-Haag, and The Arts Student
League in NY.
One person exhibitions include: M-13 Gallery and
Moving Image Gallery in NY. Group exhibitions
include: American Fine Arts Gallery, The
Alternative Museum, and the New York Digital Salon.
Doron is the founder of Computer Fine Arts - a
netart collection at: http://computerfinearts.com

uberground is also the name of our samizdat
magazine, which is published parallel with
our shows.

uberground events deal with new media,
architecture and design, experimental art, theory,
performance, music, social issues, things on,
or over the edge.

Zeroglab invites film makers, housewives, artists,
students,
programmers, designers,, nuclear scientists,
philosophers,
chimney-sweep, in short: anyone, to contribute works

community.
Our aim is to create an open source pool for extreme
short web-movies and software-art. Every one from any
continent,
country or non-country, is warmly welcomed.

Nanofestival v.02 is a no-budget, on-line art festival
for extreme
short (!max. 10 sec.!) web movies and software art.

The event is organized by ZEROGLAB, an independent
digital art-lab

1. We accept submissions in three categories:

a. WEB MOVIES:
Maximum length: 10 seconds
Maximum picture size: 720X576
Maximum file size: +/- 5 MB
File formats: avi, (plain)mpeg, gif, mov, wmf, pd
Please use no exotic video/audio codecs;

b. FLASH MOVIES
Maximum length: 10 seconds
Maximum file size: 500 KB
Please make public your flash document on you web site
(*.fla file) as well.

c. SOURCE CODE OF SOFTWARE ART
Maximum file size: 500 KB
File format: plain ASCII text files only, no
executables.
We accept contributions for the following softwares /
programming
