Tom Kohut holds an M. A. In English from Queen's University (Kingston, Ontario) where he specialized in modernist literature and cultural theory. He is currently a freelance curator and critic, writing on film, new media and sound art and philosophy. Programs that he has curated have been shown at the International Symposium of Electronic Arts (Istanbul, 2010) and SEAFair (Skopje, Macendonia, 2010.) His articles and reviews have appeared in Border Crossings, Blackflash and .dpi, and has written exhibition catalogue essays for Video Pool Media Arts Centre and RAW Gallery. His current research interests include the politics of sound art, Speculative Realism and Badiou and new media theory generally. He lives in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
