Ryszard W. Kluszczynski, PhD is a professor of media and cultural studies, Lodz University, Poland, Chair of Department of Media and Audiovisual Culture. He is also a professor at Academy of Fine Arts in Lodz. He publishes widely about media and multimedia arts, cyberculture, as well as on the contemporary art theory and alternative art (avant-garde). In the years 1990-2001 Kluszczynski was a Chief Curator of film, video and multimedia arts at the Centre for Contemporary Art - Ujazdowski Castle in Warsaw. He organized numerous international exhibitions of media and multimedia art. Recently - curator of the Second International Biennale of Contemporary Art, Poznan 2010. At the moment, besides the academic jobs, artistic director of the 2011-2016 project Art@Science Meeting. In 2011 in the context of the project the exhibitions of Georgy Kepes and Frank Malina, Monika Fleischmann and Wolfgang Strauss, Victoria Vesna and James Gimzewski, as well as the international conference Towards the Third Culture will be organized.
