BIO
Rebecca Loyche is a conceptual artist working primarily in video, photography, sound and film. She Co-Directed MMX Open Art Space with Jonathan Gröger and has curated programs in the United States and in Germany. Her art has been shown throughout the US and in Germany, Iceland, Brazil, Prague, Ireland. Collaborating projects include: Spaceallover.org a series of Nomadic Art events, tART Women’s Collective in NYC, BUFF Brooklyn Underground Film Festival and working for the David Smith Estate and Art Omi international art residencies and sculpture park. She holds an MFA from Hunter College, NYC & BFA from Pratt Institute, NYC and was a Meisterschüler with Candice Breitz at Braunschweig School of Art, Germany.

SEEKING VIDEOS FOR SCREENING PROGRAM

MMX is currently in the process of putting together the fourth Screening program for Show IV in June.

MMX
opens a new exhibition every six weeks with a new screening program. Our screening room holds up to 100 people, is powered with a HD ready projector, mac mini, and Mackie speaker sound system. The program plays throughout the duration of the exhibition on a loop as opposed to a one time screening. What we have in mind is a selection of 5-8 extraordinary video/films- short and sweet.

In the center of Berlin’s commercial art scene, MMX is a unique international forum for the
advancement of new art and an advocate for underexposed ideas. A not-for-profit venue, MMX is committed to fostering innovative ways of generating, exhibiting, supporting and experiencing contemporary art.

International and local art is exhibited in a 1.000m_ venue in the heart of Mitte. Visitors enter MMX through a welcoming room with a bar and library; a place to meet, discuss and socialize. The 300m_ ground floor gallery space is supplemented by a 150m_ basement for installations, as well as a 500m_ garden in the front and a 150m_ courtyard in the rear, offering ample room for custom installations and experimental work.

A visionary outlet among the art scene in Berlin, MMX is where people and art meet.
