Pinar is an artist, designer, neuro-enthusiast in that given order. Her work is interdisciplinary and mostly multimodal.
Born and raised in a highly unstable part of the world economically, politically and culturally, where instability was steadily maintained thanks to the effects of events such as the 1981 military coup, 1985 chernobyl nuclear disaster, Iran-Iraq war, Gulf War, Kurdish terrorist attacks, and finally, radical Islamic movement of the last decade to count a few.
Hence she has an innate tendency to perceive life as chaos, and categories of life as chaotic systems.
Pinar has degrees in Architecture (BArch), Communication Design(MA), Information Technologies (MS) and an MFA from UCLA and her work has been exhibited in Istanbul, Bologna, Frankfurt, Los Angeles , San Diego , Minneapolis, Pittsburgh and Durham . She is very proud of spotting residencies at the prestigious MacDowell Colony , UCross , VCCA as well as Duke University and University of Minnesota.
Pinar is currently pursuing her phd at Duke University.
