Pedro Barateiro was born in Almada, Portugal, 1979.
Lives and works in Lisbon, Portugal. Graduated in June 2006 from Malmö Art Academy, Lund University, Malmö, Sweden. and from 2003 to 2005 attended the Maumaus- School of Visual Arts in Lisbon. BA degree at ESAD, Caldas da Rainha, June 2002. Artist residency at Spike Island Artspace, Bristol, UK and Galeria Zé dos Bois, Lisbon.
Artist residency at ISCP - International Studio and Curatorial Program, New York.
