Paula Brett is an interdisciplinary artist based in Tampa, Florida. Her most current body of work explores the painted abstract landscape – playing with edges that meet and intersect to create inspired spaces. She has presented work in Workspace Harlem, New York Studio Gallery; PAC/Edge Performance Art Festival, ARC Gallery, Vietnam Veteran’s Art Museum, and Spareroom in Chicago; in Phoenix, Arizona; Budapest, Hungary; and Timiosoara, Romania. Paula holds an MFA in Interdisciplinary Arts and Media from Columbia College Chicago.

Calumet International Arts Association Announces Residency in Croatia

Budapest, Hungary, February 14, 2008 - Calumet is an independent non-profit association based in Budapest, Hungary. The association encourages awareness and exploration of personal and creative development as well as cross-cultural exchange of ideas. Calumet aims to generate and encourage exchange between local artists and international artists, believing that this interaction is a unique way to gain new experiences while encountering other view points and perspectives concerning contemporary art.

The residency programme emphasises the working process rather than the finished product and enables the artist to explore new ideas and ways of working in the context of developing artistic identity.
