ANN: Darkroom


The 'Beta Preview' version of Darkroom is now available at http://art.gen.nz

Darkroom is a generative/algorithmic graphics tool for Windows based PCs. Starting where my previous tool GoogleSynth left off, Darkroom will become a full blown tool for manipulating imagery in strange and unusual ways. A comprehensive tutorial is also available for download in PDF format.

All feedback is welcomed, either via the forums on the website or email.

Re: How Do You Want To Go Today?


I have a strange toy which uses the google image search feature to grab two random images and create a new third image . It attempts to use textures and patterns found in the input image to re-create the target image.

The results range from random garbage to the bizarre. Feel free to take a look and download it (Windows PC only - sorry):
