Nick Hasty is an artist, programmer, consultant & musician. He was the Director of Technology for Rhizome.org for nearly 5 years. As an artist, he recently collaborated with Ryan Trecartin in building the user-generated video art platform riverthe.net, and he plays drums and electronics in the Brooklyn-based band Source of Yellow. He received a B.A. in English Literature from the University of Georgia, and holds a Master's degree from NYU's Interactive Telecommunications Program in the Tisch School of the Arts.

Peter Edwards' Drone Lab is a 4 voice analog drone synth, rhythm generator and FX processor. A great kit from one of the kings of circuit bending.
Simple but powerful kit from the Loud Objects performance group. You can easily integrate your own code to write new low-bit jams.
► Triwave Picogenerator and other assorted kits by 4ms
4ms has been making a wide variety of wonderful and novel instruments for nearly 15 years. These guys are pros and extremely nice to boot.
Open-source version of the Roland TB-303. What more could you ask for?

SOY Live at Cake Shop 10/20 Recording and Upcoming Shows
Source of Yellow played Cake Shop last Monday 10/20/08, and again i’ve uploaded a recording of the show for all to partake.
SOY is playing two shows back to back on November 21st and November 22nd. The Nov 21st show is at Issue Project Room in Brooklyn (with Susan Alcorn and Lone Wolf and Cub (Ryan Sawyer)) and the Nov 22nd show is for Aunts The Event Center@ Nostrand and Lafayette Bedstuy, Brooklyn(take G train to Bedford/Nostrand, exit Nostrand/Lafayette).

Recording of Source of Yellow Live at Zebulon
Source of Yellow played Zebulon last Monday night, and I’ve uploaded the recording of the show for all to hear.
We play Cake Shop this coming Monday, October 20th, along with Nancy Garcia, Heaven People, Electric Jellyfish, and Mtty Konkeror. We go on around 10 or so, and it’ll be a sweet show for sure
Iron Hero Remix
I did a remix of “Carved in Light’ by my old band Iron Hero. I took a couple parts of the song that I liked, processed them individually, and “sewed” those parts together to form a sort of collage. Enjoy!
