Matt Ferranto was born in Biloxi, Mississippi, in 1967 and currently lives and works in New York. He earned an MFA in sculpture and an MA in art history from Purchase College in New York in 2000 and a BS from Willamette University in 1989. He has been included in recent exhibitions at Manifest Gallery, Cincinnati; the Madelon Powers Gallery at East Stroudsburg University; and the Center for the Book Arts, New York. He is the managing editor of Design and Culture and has also been a contributing writer for Art on Paper. He is an Assistant Professor of Art at Westchester Community College in New York, and he also serves as director of the Westchester Community College Fine Arts Gallery.
