The Australian Network for Art and Technology (ANAT) is seeking an original Design and Technology Officer who has a collaborative approach. This position is responsible for digital and print design work that is seen locally and globally. The Technical and Design Officer creates ANAT’s Filter Magazine, web sites, brochures and brand image as well as giving technical advice on networks, software and hardware.

ANAT is Australia's leading cultural organisation working at the intersection of art, science & technology; networked & emergent art practices; experimental music & sound arts; mobile & portable platforms.

Operating locally and globally ANAT delivers initiatives enabling connection & collaboration, enrichment & inspiration, research & development. ANAT fosters enterprise, sustainability & dialogue across art, culture, science & technology.

Essential Skills
•Proven knowledge of, and experience with, web design and authoring, graphic design programs such as Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, the Macromedia suite of programs and, website and database management
•Evidence of design skills in an online environment
•Evidence of design skills in a print environment is an advantage
•Familiarization with email account setup, basic LAN management
•Proficient in Microsoft Office package
•Problem solving ability
•Highly developed written and verbal communication skills
•Experience in an Apple environment
•Working knowledge of MySQL + PHP programming
•Working to budgets
•Project management skills

Desirable Skills
•Some experience with web programming languages and scripting (javascript, CSS etc)
•Experience in technical management, preferably within an arts environment
•Appropriate tertiary qualifications or training
•Experience working in an arts organization
