Works in Knoxville United States of America

BIO
Keegan Luttrell, a mixed media and installation artist  graduated from Maryland Institute College of Art in 2008 with a BFA in Art History and a Concentration in Photography. Originally from Knoxville, she has lived and worked in Baltimore, New York City, France, and Australia. In the past, she has shown in local Knoxville venues, as well as in Baltimore, Brooklyn, New York, Aix en Provence, France and Austin, Texas.

Keegan Luttrell gains her inspiration through her travels, and she works mostly with found and natural materials within various media such as painting, sculpture, and installation. “My interest in art stems from an exploration of the past,” she says.  “Most of my reinterpretations are lost instances that resurface through my work.”  In the past year she had her first solo show at Abode in Market Square, cataloging her past two years of travel in a group of works entitled "Easements and Overstories”. Most recently she was the resident artist at the Arts and Culture Alliance at the Emporium Center. For six months she had a 10 x 10 studio and a space to show her work in progress on first Fridays. She recently had her final show as resident artist titled "uproot". It was a catalog of work from her residency that included installations, sculptures and paintings influenced from her childhood. For more information, visit her website at www.keeganluttrell.com.
