Joseph White was born in Warren, Pennsylvania on February 9, 1976. At the age of 5 his family moved to North Carolina where he resided in the farmlands of the Piedmont section. After attending East Carolina University he began working in the coastal Carolina film industry as a production assistant. In February 1999, he moved to New York to continue working in TV, film and theatre. Following September 11, 2001 he enlisted in the United States Army. After completion of Advanced Infantry Training, and the Army Airborne School, he was assigned to the 82nd Airborne Long Range Surveillance Detachment at Ft. Bragg NC. He completed tours in Afghanistan and Iraq where he was awarded Army Accommodation Medals in both conflicts for his dedication to excellence and commitment to the mission at any cost. He was also awarded the Expert and Combat Infantryman awards while serving in both conventional and unconventional military organizations. Joseph’s primary missions involved surveillance and reconnaissance, which led to his love of photography. After his service he returned to New York to continue his university studies majoring in film and photography. He is working as Project Manager of research and development at BEI, Business of Entertainment Inc. Last project, American Soldier; A Photographic Tribute, The Civil War to the War in Iraq has been seen by over 500,000 people in its first 9 months.
Joseph is currently in development of 2 documentary projects and in production on another with the Battlespace exhibition.
