Gregory Bennett has a background in both fine art practice and film post-production, and has been an exhibiting artist since he graduated with a Master of Fine Arts (First Class Honours) from the Elam School of Fine Arts, University of Auckland, New Zealand in 2004.
Currently living in Auckland, he is a senior lecturer in Digital Design at AUT University teaching 3D animation, visual effects, motion capture and digital media history and theory.
His art practice encompasses both still and moving image works, and more recently interactive work, which are entirely digitally generated using 3D animation software. His work has been shown in both public spaces and dealer galleries, in forms which range from small monitors, to gallery wall projections, to a seven-storey public building façade.
His work has been purchased by a number of public and private collections in New Zealand including the Chartwell Collection and The James Wallace Arts Trust.
He is represented by Two Rooms Gallery in Auckland.
