WE HAVE FOUND A NEW LOCATION FOR SCROLL BOWL!
We have found an alternative venue for the night of Scroll Bowl, April 2nd at the tenelven bar in Manhattan. The venue has everything we need, drinks, a movie screen, a mounted projected, a very small stage (on which we will still will use the new SCROLLIE 3000), a badly tuned piano, a melting candelabra, a soundboard, speakers and most importantly SCROLLS! Lots of amazing scroll and artists who work is still incredible.
Thank you so much for your continued support.

THE 22 MAGAZINE PRESENTS:SCROLL BOWL VAPRIL 2ndONE NIGHT ONLY, 7pmTenEleven Bar171 Avenue C
Harnessing the ancient power of scroll storytelling, some of the world's finest creators gather to show off their work on large and small rolls of parchment. Created in 2008 by artist Will Varner, Scroll Bowl was a unique way for artists and illustrators to present their work large scale and interactively. In 2009 Will Varner left the Scroll Bowl project to pursue a professional illustration career and artist/curator John Jennison took over the project. After accepting Jennison as one of the premier issue contributors, The 22 Magazine partnered with him to present Scroll Bowl as both a performance and installation event. Drawing from an array of traditions, commentary and communication, Scroll Bowl V presents a modern look at the scroll as both an object and as a tool. Focusing on the artist's approach to an ancient tradition Scroll Bowl V speaks through sound, video, installation and drawing. Through this exploration we hope to elicit a rediscovery of scrolls and our views of them.

The 22 is annual arts and literature online magazine that seeks to explore connections and intersections between the works of artists, musicians and writers. In some portions of The 22 the structure is presented as a diptych or sometimes triptych, allowing the viewer to actively participate in the task of opening the hinges that link conversation between the pieces.
The 22 Show was formed to showcase the talents of each issue's contributors. This year's show will feature performances, music, reading and film work from several of the artists and writers. By forming a collective group and by carefully selecting contributors whose work is enhanced through combination, The 22 Show is a comparison and celebration of the voice of the artist as solo and unified.
The opening reception will take place April 9th, 7pm at 17 Frost Street in Brooklyn NY.
The show will run April 9th through 29th at 17 Frost Street. Gallery hours TK.

ABOUT HONEYBEES:
The story of two turnip farmers chasing honey bees and dreams.
"A New Indie Rock Musical"
By Aaron and Anna Jones
Directed by Brett Goldstein
Pennsylvania, 1889. Two turnip farmers, Peter and Mary, suddenly
lose their entire turnip crop in a ferocious winter frost. With little
left to live on, they wander through the woods, searching for a
solution, and seem to find their answer in the wonderful (and highly
sought after) honey of the Buffalo Bee. Turnips! Honey! Trains!
Exposition Universelle! Part myth, part made up, the story deals in
dreams and success: what defines them, who defines them, and how they
define us.
For more information visit the website
Honeybees will run From Feb 3-Feb 13th at 17 Frost. Performances are at 8 pm Thursday-Sunday.
Purchase tickets online here.
