Frank Schulte studies educational sciences and psychology at Gerhard Mercator University, Duisburg, Germany, with special emphasis on the use of media in communication and educational processes. He also works as a research assistant at the universities Institute of Cognition und Communication (http://heineken.uni-duisburg.de/schulte).

Since 1998, Schulte tries to transfer the things he learnes in his studies and work into the artistic field. In 1999, together with Ditmar Schaedel, a duisburg based photographer, he created a immersive virtual environment, through which the visitor could navigate and visit a virtual photographic exhibition. Currently, he is focusing on net.art, and together with fellow undergraduate students he is developing a interactive documentary about documenta 11.
