sLowlife Exhibition

sLowlife offers a journey into altered perceptions—a window into the world of plants. It accelerates the time-scale of plants into our own frame of reference, speeding up their everyday lives to a pace that resonates with our own.

sLowlife is a multi-media/discipline exhibition that exists both in a physical space (a travelling exhibit currently at The United States Botanic Gardens in Washington DC) and as a print and on-line catalog. sLowlife was conceived by biologist Roger Hangarter and artist Dennis DeHart and inlcudes original sounds by John Gibson. sLowlife is funded by The National Science Foundation, The United States Botanic Gardens, The Chicago Botanic Gardens, and The Society of Plant Biology.
