“The ghost piano” at the Widget Art Gallery. September 22nd to October 22nd, 2013.

Dates:
Sun Sep 22, 2013 11:50 - Tue Oct 22, 2013

Dear friends & colleagues,

I'm glad to present “The ghost piano” at the Widget Art Gallery on IPhone, IPad and OSX-Dashboard; form September 22nd to October 22nd, 2013. http://www.chiarapassa.it/upcoming.html

About the WAG:

The “WAG" is a mini 3-dimensional, single room gallery that fits into your pocket 'cause I've developed it for IPhone, IPod Touch and I Pad. Every month, directly on your mobile, The “WAG” hosts a solo digital art exhibition related to the dynamic site-specific contest. So, the Widget Art Gallery works both as a sort of kunsthall showing temporary
exhibitions and as a permanent collections museum because conserves all the past exhibitions inside an online archive. For IPhone and IPod touch, just copy this url http://www.chiarapassa.it/wag/mobile/ in Safari and choose: “add to home” and the WAG's icon will be saved on your IPhone. Do the same for IPad but paste this other URL: http://www.chiarapassa.it/wagipad/mobile/, or download the widget version for Mac osx dashboard at: http://www.chiarapassa.it/TheWidgetArtGallery.html
Past exhibitions at: http://the-widget-art-gallery.blogspot.com/

About the exhibition:

“The ghost piano”, site-specific scenario by Chiara Passa & original piano music by Francesco Giliberti.

This month the wag turns into a sort of ancient Roman concert hall and shows a ghost piano playing a nostalgic music inside an open architecture vaguely neoclassical, that creates an evocative and decadent atmosphere taking the audience to an experience of times gone by…

Enjoy the show!

Best regards, Chiara.

Matthew Williamson: "New Pennants"

Wandering down a narrow pathway you spy in the distance a banner fluttering lightly in the wind. As you get closer, you notice the message written on it "follow me for more soft grunge". Enjoy this set of pennants, specially made for WAG, featuring quotes from a variety of blogging community self- promotional tags. matthew-williamson.com

FACADE VIDEO FESTIVAL 12-15 | 09 | 2013, Plovdiv.

Dates:
Thu Sep 12, 2013 11:10 - Sun Sep 15, 2013

FACADE VIDEO FESTIVAL 12-15 | 09 | 2013, Plovdiv.

Program: http://www.facade.arttoday.org/en/2013/program and partecipants: http://www.facade.arttoday.org/en/2013/participants

URBAN SPACE converts its solely function as a mere backdrop and is about to be activated. Thus the neglected public space of the Old Town and other neighbourhoods of Plovdiv is transformed into a vivid place of artistic practice. Cineasts and random passer-bys form an audience in a unique setting. The facades themselves start to act, to talk and to move.

VIDEO ART leaves its hermetic and privileged venues as art-house cinemas, galleries and museums. The facade becomes a new medium of encounter between artist and recipient, between art and urban environment. The festival would become a platform where cultural institutions, curators, artists, critics from all over the world can exchange ideas and experiences in the field of the contemporary art.

Façade is a project of Art Today Association - Center for Contemporary Art – Plovdiv, The Ancient Bath. E-mail: office@arttoday.org web: http://www.facade.arttoday.org
