Carlo Zanni was born in La Spezia (Italy) in 1975. Since the early 2000's his practice involves the use of Internet data to create time based social consciousness experiences investigating our life. He lives far from the worldliness of the art world while showing and screening his projects in venues worldwide including: Hammer Museum, Los Angeles; New Museum, New York; Tent, Rotterdam; MAXXI, Rome; P.S.1, New York; Borusan Center, Istanbul; ACAF Space, Alexandria; PERFORMA 09, NY; ICA, London; Wood Street Galleries, Pittsburgh; Science Museum, London.
He founded "People From Mars" http://www.PeopleFromMars.org to experiment new distribution models for video art and new media projects.

The 7th issue of the EDIT: review is focused on game.
Artists and writers will discuss Lara Croft and Second Life, new kind of
videogames, playful interactions between museum's visitors and artworks and
the importance of game in contemporary art.

Etienne Clément stages toys back to life, Carlo Zanni plays with news as
if on an Amiga and Xavier Boissarie introduces his "Bandoneon",
immersive work
exploring a virtual urban universe through a surf board.
The conference will give the opportunity to discover the review, meet
artists and authors and question the role of game in contemporary art
and image by elaborating on the online articles.

EDIT: is a bilingual (French/English) review published online 3 times
per year, focused on contemporary visual culture and featuring
portfolios, interviews, in-depth artwork studies. It has been launched
in 2005 by the Tide association.

[u][b]Hans Ulrich Obrist[/b][/u]
Hans Ulrich Obrist was born in Zurich in May 1968. He joined the Serpentine Gallery as Co-director of Exhibitions and Programmes and Director of International Projects in April 2006.
Prior to this he was Curator of the Musée d'Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris since 2000, as well as curator of museum in progress, Vienna, from 1993-2000.
He has curated over 150 exhibitions internationally since 1991, including "do it", "Take Me, I'm Yours" (Serpentine Gallery), "Cities on the Move", "Live/Life", "Nuit Blanche", 1st Berlin Biennale, Manifesta 1, and more recently "Uncertain States of America", 1st Moscow Triennale, 2nd Guangzhou Triennale (Canton China), and Lyon Biennale.
In 2007, Hans Ulrich co-curated "Il Tempo del Postino" with Philippe Parreno for the Manchester International Festival.
In the same year, the Van Alen Institute awarded him the New York Prize Senior Fellowship for 2007-2008.
