I am an artist, curator and writer who is interested in the possibilities of technology and media and how they can act as a (counter) public sphere. I am interested in the meaning and use of socially engaged and collaborative art practice to develop projects, which can act as a point of entry to develop a level of authorship and agency over media and technology. Recent projects include Connected Communities exhibition and symposium, Culture Lab and Onsite, Newcastle upon Tyne, UK (2011); curatorial intern, Deveron Arts, Huntly, UK (2010); Project Assistant of Matt Stokes, The Gainsborough Packet, BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Art, Newcastle upon Tyne, UK (2009).

I am currently studying a PhD at Culture Lab, Newcastle University, UK, called ‘The possibilities of collective community action through digital media’ concerned with understanding and developing collective action in my local community through digital technology.
