BIO
Annushka Gisella Peck is a visual artist working in new media, sculpture and installation. Her work explores
intersections of liminal and interstitial space and the new landscapes of contemporary and mediated life
found in systemic structures, architectures and the states of abandoned, neglected and built spaces. She
holds BFA degrees in painting and sculpture from Bemidji State University (1996) and the University of
Oregon (2005), respectively and an MFA with a concentration in Intermedia from the University of
Wisconsin-Milwaukee (2008). She exhibits nationally and internationally and has received numerous awards
and fellowships, including a residency at the Museum of Jurassic Technology in Los Angeles (2006),
presentation of a lecture at the 32nd Conference of the American Studies Association of Turkey in Ankara,
Turkey (2007) and most recently, was named a finalist in the Emerging Artist category for the Greater
Milwaukee Foundation's Mary L. Nohl Fund Fellowships (2008).
