works that grab data from the Internet

hello list,

I am looking for net art works that grab some data from Internet and
process them in some way, in real time. For example, Shredder, by Mark
Napier, and WebStalker, by I/O/D. I would like to ask you:

1) if you know works that also makes that, please, send-me the URLs;
2) texts about them are welcome too;
3) do you know if The Secret Life of Numbers
(http://www.turbulence.org/Works/nums/index.html) is still processing
the occurrence of the numbers in WWW or if it works with a processing
done and finished? I think the last option is the correct, but I am not
sure.

bye,
andrei

Re:RHIZOME_RAW: Re: Internet Art Survives,But the Boom Is Over -NY times

I think that it is a good thing that "Internet
Art" "has become more integrated into the art world".
For example, a net art work can have stronger
connections with 'traditional' art works than with
other net art works. it will have some connection with
some net art works, sure, but not with all. And I
think is more interesting to see an exposition
about "vigilance and control', that shows works using
several medias, that to see a exposition
about "painting in the last five years" or "the best
net art works from last six months".

bye, and excuse me for bad english,
andrei

e-mails of some artists

hello list,

i would like to ask you the e-mail address of the authors of two
proposals for Rhizome Comissions 2004. They are:

1) the author of Whiteout. Description: Whiteout is the flight
simulator of your dreams.
http://www.n-gon.com/rhizome/Whiteout.proposal/work-samples.html

2) the authors of Pac-Mondrian. They are Prize Budget for Boys, but in
their site I haven't found any e-mail address.

I also would like to point to an interesting "collateral effect" of
Rhizome Comissions: reading the proposals, I have found some ones that
are very close of mine or very close some interests I have. So, the
collateral effect can be some collaboration happenning soon; i found
some interesting works and artists that i would n't have found so
easily, if it was not the Rhizome.org publishing the list of proposals
in the web.

good luck, and excuse me for my bad english,
andrei
