Hi Michael,

Thanks very much for the links - they look like just what I'm looking for...

Hi everyone,

Was hoping someone might be able to suggest some reading or some artists to look at regarding "Web 2.0" or art video on the internet. I'm looking into the role of video in the atmosphere of the internet. I would very much appreciate any suggestions of critical/theoretical essays, books or writers on the topic of web 2.0/internet video in relation to art. Also, if you have any suggestions of artists who are working online using video...

I am particularly interested in politically engaged work, but would like to see work which is not overtly political as well...

Thanks very much in advance,

Film, video, sound work - call for submissions!

Duration:London is a monthly curated event at Candid Arts Trust in Angel. We are currently looking for durational work of all types to be considered for our upcoming events in September, October, and November.

For more information on the background of Duration:London, please visit

We have scheduled screenings/happenings on September 29th, October 27th & November 24th, 2009.
To be able to curate the events properly, we need to see/hear the work at least 3 weeks in advance, along with a short bio and a statement of intent/synopsis. This written information will be included in the printed program. The screening itself is operated mainly on DVD, although direct projection from a laptop is possible.

If you are interested, have ideas or would like further details, please contact us as early as possible:

Hi everyone,

Just wondering if anyone is aware of any art projects that deal with hacking or phreaking? I am working on one of my own at the moment and just wanted to see if there's anything any one has done out there that I should have a look at...

"An Internet troll, or simply troll in Internet slang, is someone who posts controversial and usually irrelevant or off-topic messages in an online community, such as an online discussion forum, with the intention of baiting other users into an emotional response[1] or to generally disrupt normal on-topic discussion.[2]" - definition from the mighty wikipedia

I have to admit, I'm a bit bored... but plenty of this thread relates to the above... and really, that's not all that interesting... so I guess I'm still bored. sigh.
