[Nictoglobe] The Few and the Many, an Essay about Cultural Epilepticism

The Few and the Many

Culture as the social outcome of tensions between the few and the
many obviously has a firm political component. This component has
various meanings; one of them is the ability to generate change. This
changing or generating component can be misused as a repressing tool
in the hands of power, whether this power is applied to the benefits
or the destruction of society. Not any human alien order is able to
protect or to govern individual independence; this is in strong
contrast with the obligations and promises contemporary governments
and industries are demanding from

DISCUSSION

Re: RHIZOME_RAW: Clash of Discourses: Living in a Hysterical World

It is not about tv but about what represents tv .

It is not about us and them but about me and you.

So, it is not the thing, but the verbalization of the thing. Or the
actions with and from the thing.
When we finally arrive in an objectificated reality, all what is left
are actions to impose on things.

That is to say: tv is not subjectificating us anymore but instead we
are objectificating tv.
The latter is a most wanted situation.

This whole shift of meaning in mediascape, was prepared by the
pioneering works , of for instance , Nam June Paik , John Cage cum suis.

DISCUSSION

Re: RHIZOME_RAW: Clash of Discourses: Living in a Hysterical World

A tv is a human invented technical device , which produces (moving)
images and sounds through media space.
In the hands of the malevolent it is a means to propagate ideas,
thoughts and opinions which are not ours.
In the hands of the benevolent it is a means to express our
feelings , thoughts and opinions to share with each other.
