Lotte Geeven

Lotte Geeven (1980) lives and works in Amsterdam. Throughout her work Geeven reveals splintered structures, reducing them to lines. Her city is a subway map and her mountain is a stripped vista. Working in multiple dimensions, she reveals a private and whimsical world hidden around the city, creating a non-existent space so that we can partake in her imaginative journeys.

Her work has been amongst other shown in White Box and Point B in New York City, The National Museum in Indonesia, Parisian laundry, Montréal, NADA Miami, CITRIC gallery in Italy, Chinese European Art Center in China and Mart House Gallery, Amsterdam.

In 2010 Geeven was awarded with the prestigious Illy Prize for most innovative artist.
