I am a Masters of Fine Art candidate in my 3rd year at the University of Houston, and have a Bachelors of Arts with emphasis in Art and Performance from the University of Texas at Dallas. My primary area of focus in digital work is the role of people's identities and how that shifts when the preconceived concepts of the self are allowed to decay in a virtual environment. My fascination with the flexibility of personality, and how people can so drastically alter who they are when they are seen as being anonymous has been developed into an evolving series of video, animated gifs, and virtual world installations. In fall of 2008 I built a virtual world that existed to be my ideal living environment, then invited in other artists to add to, or detract from it. This exploration lead to one artist completely taking over, and my yielding of control to allow his vision to blossom.
