Seth Tyler Black is a multidisciplinary artist from York, PA, currently residing in Buffalo, NY. Black's professional artistry began around 2005 when he joined the York Daily Record as resident poet and creative writer, publishing over of his first poems. After leaving Pennsylvania and attending college at SUNY University at Buffalo, Black penned his first feature length screenplay entitled "A Portrait of a Young Artist", which earned him a spot as a finalist in the Buffalo Niagara Film Festival Screenplay Competition.
After a year of writing and putting on a few small guerilla performance art gigs, Seth Tyler Black began working on a new media art series entitled "Rupture the Body", where he formed an art collaborative, the Travelling Showcase. Serving as auteur for the company, Black brought together different art medias for the project series and brought the installations on a five month tour to different venues in Buffalo NY and Pennsylvania. The Travelling Showcase continues to grow and is Black's major collaborative group for putting together new works.
Seth Tyler Black continues to work as an independent freelance photographer, media artist, and writer. Along with his aspirations, Black also creates individual custom art pieces for anyone that is interested in owning a Seth Tyler Black original artpiece of their own.
