I was the artistic director and co-founder of DOORIKA (1990-1999) – a performance arts collective based in Chicago and New York. As a director, I have a varied history in creating interdisciplinary projects in sound, theater, film and video. I develop my projects over a long period of time - researching, writing, and designing it. As a video artist, I strive to create textured works that reference cinematic genres and employ both humor and melodrama. I combine found image, appropriated text with original text and moving images. Since 1999, I have focused primarily on video and filmmaking.

My videos and films have screened at various film festivals and art institutions such as: Lincoln Center's New York Video Festival, Ars Electronica, IFP's Buzzcuts, Berlin's Transmediale, Silver Lake Film Festival, Stedelijk Museum, Dallas Video Festival, Artists Space, St. Petersburg Museum of Art, Art in General, ASUAM, Amsterdam's World Wide Video Festival, Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival, Cologne Off, Pioneer Theater, Galapagos Art Space, Cucalorus Film Festival, Moviate, LA Freewaves, Cinemateket at the Danish Film Institute and New York's Anthology Film Archives.
