Carola Unterberger-Probst (*1978) studied at the Paris Lodron University of Salzburg and Art University of Linz.
The artworks of Carola Unterberger-Probst are reflective. The basis of them are fragments of the "media world". Unterberger-Probst occupies herself with the postmodern discourse, deconstruction and questions on media and arts.
Her work has been displayed at exhibitions, screenings and festivals, such as the Ars Electronica Festival, Linz Festival, Transpublic, Posthof Linz, Kliemsteinhaus Linz, Galerie Palais Mannstorff, Wyspa Danzig, Witte de With Rotterdam, Bemis Center for Contemporary Arts, Netherland TV station NOS, and Austrian TV station ORF.
Since 1999, she has developed numerous additional theoretical discourse contributions. She has been a guest at various events, such as the film festival Youki, Kinderfreunde Austria, d it act - Women's IT Summer Studies, Capturing the… Truth? (Berlinale 2005), and the Congress of the German Socity of Semiotics.
Carola Unterberger-Probst is member of the IG Cultur, IG Art and iaa/aiap. She works as a freelance artist and producer of exhibitions. Since 2006 she is part of the Ars Electronica team.
