A former painter, Malin Abrahamsson’s primary focus is digital animation and public art. Her abstract animations have been screened at MoMA, PACE University, Microscope Gallery. Recent public projects include Solar Cycle 24: 15 Nightly Public Animation Projections, presented by chashama, Re:Construction Downtown Dogs, commissioned by Downtown Alliance, Arts for Transit Permanent Art Award commissioned by the MTA. Malin’s work has been exhibited in New York City and abroad, and she is the recipient of several grants and awards. She received her BFA with an honorable mention from School of Visual Arts in 1998 and currently lives and works in Brooklyn.
