Full Description
"C-Art" is a virtual gallery with sections split by art movements in the past century. The following movements are presented in the game: Dadaism, Surrealism, Abstract Expressionism, Fluxus, Land Art, Pop Art, Minimalism, Performance Art, Video Art, Installation, and Digital Art. Each movement features prominent works. The galleries have museum text to briefly define each art movement and each artwork has a tag containing the name of the piece, artist, and date created. Players can view and interact with the artwork just as they could in a real museum or gallery space. Some of the works become games. For example, the player can jump into Franz Kline's "White Forms" and play a version of "Flappy Bird" based on Kline's works. The Pop Art section exhibits works by Robert Rauschenberg, Jasper Johns, Roy Lichtenstein, and Andy Warhol in a 3D platformer environment where the player must dash across painting to painting to traverse over a treacherous lava pit. The game was created in Unity 3D.
The works of art featured in C-Art are digital representations of the originals.
