Custom software records and composites short video recordings triggered by light and motion. Five layers of videos are displayed at once showing a reflection of what happened a few seconds before.

Artist Statement
My video sculptures invite the audience to play with projected light, color and their own image. The intention is to engulf the observer in an optical experience or a video mirror. Custom software enables me to collaborate with the audience, creating a dynamic, evolving animated mural that blurs the line between artist, performer and spectator. The art is an open framework completed by the viewers, designed to be intuitive so that all ages can participate. The concept that one participates in making a video mural rather than watching or consuming it is integral to my belief about how art can function in a public space. The spectators turn into the sculpture. The viewer is prompted by the projections, lighting and props to perform, reacting to the video as they are processed into its subject. The identity of being an artist is shared. I want the artwork to be a type of "reclamation," for it to offer the community a sense of power over how they are represented on camera and over the space where the art is shown.
