Artist Statement
In lieu of pastel expectations and glossy preprinted memories, the white square hole (the in[tro]version of a screen) devours the gaze of the tourist along with his absence from the idealized view. Anti-paysages as the growing dilation of the percettively-reconstructable image: side-effects of the select+erase function of MS Paint. A progressive decolonization of clichéd postcard paraphernalia in the age of the Internet Landscapes and free stock photo libraries.
