Ryota Matsumoto's drawings develop and demonstrate the hybrid/multi-layered process where varying scale, juxtaposition of different forms, intertwined textures/tones are applied to reinvent and question the spatial conditions of architectural drawings. His work explore a hybrid drawing technique combining both traditional media (ink, acrylic, and graphite) and digital media (algorithmic processing, scripting and image compositing with custom software ) .
Full Description
As far as the title is concerned, I just picked some verses that I like from 'A Throw of the Dice will Never Abolish Chance' by Mallarmé ...then cut up into pieces and rearranged. This image captured an instantaneous moment, when emergent structures or patterns arised. Perhaps, the next moment, some mature complex forms might disintegrate and emergent particles would self-organize new structures. The unintended consequences and unpredictability are some of essential properties that belong to emergence and self-organization.
