Electrified Sky (2012)
Single channel, site-specific video installation on existing architecture.
Digitally layered and slowed down footage of electric currents is projected across the underside of the large, curved roof structure. It moves in unpredictable directions across the roof and down the metal beams as viewers walk underneath.
Footage: filmed from real electrical streams and sparks from a Van de Graaff generator and Tesla coils.
One of two temporary Public Art commissions for the Boston Harbor Islands Pavilion, Boston, MA.
Commissioned by The Rose Kennedy Greenway Conservancy and Boston Cyberarts, in partnership with the National Park Service and Boston Harbor Islands Alliance, December 2012.
