CHROMA-CURRENT, 2014 5min 25sec, 1280 X 720 HD
Pedestrian traffic from Times Square is feed through the red channel of an analog RGB encoder. Two B&W studio cameras at different angles create two analog feedback tracks that are routed separately into the green and blue channels. The three channels are then reassembled digitized and brought into Max/MSP and Jitter for further processing, which included digital feedback, and frame difference.

Artist Statement
Screens are how we interface with the digital, with others, and with ourselves. They represent reality to us and ways to alter that reality. We transform the pixel and are immersed in its red, green, and blue color space; CHROMA-CURRENT spatializes the RGB space and utilizes both digital and analog visual feedback to represent its constant evolution.
