Internet explorers rarely visualize where they are going and where they are. The sitemap equates internet exploration to the way individuals move through a city. The electropolis has neighborhoods, good and bad, arteries, thru-ways, and dead-ends. As viewers use the sitemap, they are tossed from the caressing arms of a 2-dimensional map to the intangible experience of being "on" a site. In this sitemap, I sought to map out the political "landscape" on the web around the 2012 election. Individuals, through blogs, articles, and websites, unconsciously place themselves in specific locations on the sitemap. Some end up in more obscure and out-of-the-way areas than others.
