In 1855, Robert Hare published the book Experimental Investigation of the Spirit Manifestation in which described the mechanics of spiritoscopes and the results of the experiments performed with their help in detail. Having gathered quite a lot of information on spirit communicators, I decided to repeat Robert Hare's experiments. And as no functional models of spiritoscopes survived to this day, I made up my mind to make my own Spiritoscope.
Full Description
In 1855, Robert Hare published the book Experimental Investigation of the Spirit Manifestation in which described the mechanics of spiritoscopes and the results of the experiments performed with their help in detail. Having gathered quite a lot of information on spirit communicators, I decided to repeat Robert Hare's experiments. And as no functional models of spiritoscopes survived to this day, I made up my mind to make my own Spiritoscope. Jumping ahead of myself I would like to note that my spiritual communicator is very much different from its predecessors, but the tasks which I set for it are identical to the tasks which spiritoscopes faced in the 19th century:
- A spiritoscope cannot work all by itself – it needs ideomotor actions of user's hands for its work.
- A user cannot consciously affect work of a spiritoscope.
That where they similarity ends. Unlike R. Hare's devices, my spiritual communicator is virtual and looks like a webpage. Anyone who has a computer with the Internet access, a computer mouse and an operating system supporting Flash Player 6 can use it and perform a spiritual experiment.
